ABC Craft Training Program

ABC Mid-Tennessee Chapter has been providing Construction Industry standardized craft training for over three decades for several thousand workers. For virtually all of this time it's professional staff has managed a chapter craft training program and provided valuable assistance to its member compaines. ABC has helped develop speacial training for individual compaines as well as assist them in creating in-house training programs. The selection of training materials, task specific skills upgrades, skills assestments, and performance verifications are a part of ABC's over all training package.

To insure the quality of the ABC program, each instructor is certified using a nationally standardized teacher certification program. This program covers subject matter which will enable the instructor to effectively plan and deliver each lesson. It will give the instructor insight as to how adults learn and what techniques to use to achieve maximim student success.

ABC maintains a database, which includes student grades and attendance reports, module completions, and training levels achieved. The database is a valuable tool when used to track student progress and achievement.

The ABC Mid-Tennessee Chapter is an Accredited Training Sponsor and Assesment Center. We are accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). We use Industry standardized curriculum taught by Industry certified instructors.

The Director of Education is a certified Master Trainer and Certified Assesment Administrator. He also has a degree in Vocational Technical Education with 20 years experience teaching and administering vocational Programs.

Requirements

To enter the program you must:
  • Have a desire to work toward a career
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a high school graduate or
    have a GED certificte
    or be enrolled in a GED class

Classes are available two nights a week for three hours per night, from October - May. We have a break at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and in the Spring.
